2003.12.23 - tuesday, 10:32 a.m. and the next day i have been thinking about some additional refinements to my weblog template, to include a link to a brief description of myself, with links to a few different profiles of myself - eg at takingitglobal.org, common content, and a rather lengthy curriculum vitae as well as to my diaryland profile i finished cleaning up the text of order 45, and will be getting it up on the uniting for peace web site shortly after receiving the message about order 45 - the ngo regulatios issued by l. paul bremer - i had subscribed to [email protected] and today received another message from paola manduca with a declaration on an international iraq war crimes tribunal. the original declaration was in spanish, and the english translation needs some editing, as it was based on an automatic google translation i made a few obvious changes, and asked justin if he would be willing to go over the translation and clean it up, as he is quite fluent in spanish. he said that he would and that i should email it to him - i had actually hoped that he would be able to do it right away, however, the time was not right, and as of yet he has not, to my knowledge, checked his email since these two messages are just one more example of the ways that my journey takes sudden and unexpected turns - in this case seemingly to reconnect to the intense days of focus on iraq in the spring and the petition for an emergency un resolution on iraq we had a delicious breakfast of kippers and scrambled eggs - justin had bought the kippers last night during our shopping expedition to fairway at 12th aveneue and 132nd street. justin thought that the last time he had eaten kippers might have been at friendly green cottage, and was very happy to be eating them again. later in the afternoon, we snacked heartily on stilton, olives, dates, crackers and bread and watched a few videos - fawlty towers, women on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and living out loud. justin went out to get a haircut and brought some dates back with him to add to our feasting. wrote some more in my weblog - with the intention, not yet fully realized, of conveying a fuller picture of what i am - and have been - up to |
